SUGAR HIGH

Photobucket

Imagine if every day (let's not push it - maybe five days a week) you got to get up in the morning, got on a party bus full of excited people (no need for caffeine, these guys are high on life and sugary breakfast cereal), to a place where you saw all of your friends, learned cool stuff, got to run around and act completely daft for an hour and a quarter of the day; then you're done and home in time to lay on the sofa to watch CBBC.

Sounds good right? I'm going to call it "scool".. like, it's cool. S'cool. I believe there is a similar concept that already exists but mine is going to be miles better and everyone will be totally psyched to go in every day.

The kind folks at Zalando let me choose a piece from their site and this Wildfox baggy beach jumper was the one. The s'cool I'd attend would be Sugar High, and this would be our uniform. Nutella for break, pizza for lunch, and absolutely no boys allowed.

I'm impressed with the Zalando site - there's a huge selection of lines to choose from and they carry some of my favourite shoe and clothing brands: Wildfox, Minkpink, Miista and Jeffrey Campbell. I'd be pretty pleased if my wardrobe was filled with those four. Delivery was fast and by a courier company, which is an unexpected perk for free delivery.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta go do my scool homework: petting my cat and drinking a brew. Those teachers are real slave drivers.

OH MAN

Photobucket

Lately I've been feeling uninspired in my style, wearing jumpers and jeans, and much as I've wanted to post I haven't had the time and inclination. I took to Twitter to vent, and was given a task by a friend:

Considering I was already wearing one of my boyfriend's jumpers, this was a challenge I was easily capable of! Tara also did a fab post yesterday with her and her boyfriend rocking the same shirt, and they looked TOO good not to imitate.

Santa brought this jumper to Chris, and as soon as he opened it I knew I had to wear it. Today was the first chance I got... and hopefully the last, if this improving weather is anything to go by. I rolled up a pair of Nudie jeans and put a Next work shirt underneath. Along with the paisley jumper I feel that with a bit of polish this could be a Fashion Week-worthy outfit; though I don't really do polish, so I'll be borrowing (ahem) these bits again to wear separately. I think the jumper would be amazing over my Minkpink dress, playing with the proportions of paisley print, and the jeans would work with pretty much everything from crop tops to fringed kimonos.

Chris doesn't wear these all that often anymore.. so it looks like I've acquired myself the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans!

I'm wearing:
ASOS jumper
Jeffrey Campbell x Wildfox shoes

(These shoes SO need a post of their own but they arrived just after I hurt my foot and I've not been able to wear them out yet! Wah)

ASOS Premium Satchel

Just a quick post to show you this super gorgeous bag I found on ASOS.

I've been looking for a bag which I can use for uni for a while now, but nothing has really tickled my fancy, until I clapped eyes on this. This beauty has all the practicality of a satchel, whilst having some really gorgeous design features; I love the contrast of the chocolate against the cognac, the generous-sized tassels, plus the petal shape around the buckle. I can see me trudging to uni through winter with this slung over my body, and then skipping around town holding it by the top handle in flats and a shift dress.

The design features remind me of the Prada Spring 2012 Menswear shoes:

Get the ASOS Premium Leather Satchel here, and for the Prada shoes.. well, good luck! If they're anything like last season's flatforms, you'll be lucky to get on the end of a very long waiting list.
